Well, February and most of March have seemed to fly by but reality is that it is a BUSY time of year for me. Every February bring two late parent teacher conference nights, prep for conferences, and many wonderful Birthdays to celebrate with family and friends. Luckily, this February ended with the start of my Spring Break! I was really looking forward to a quiet week at home to get a whole bunch of stuff done and also have some time to spend with a few friends and my mom who we also available over Spring Break. Most of my Hudson friends were traveling and many of my other teacher friend didn't have the same break as me (including Erik) but I was still looking forward to my fun time......until Adam got sick :( I won't bore you (or gross you out) with the details but I spent much of my Spring Break taking care of Adam and eventually myself when I got sick on the weekend. I was happy to have the time off already and not have to worry about sub plans or if I would stay home or if Erik would...but it still made for a crappy break. We had to cancel many plans with friends, my mom and even Adam's dentist appointment. What a bummer.
All in all though I did get a lot of things done on the Monday before Adam got sick. I also enjoyed a fun lunch outing with a friend on Thursday when I thought Adam was better and send him back to day care (no, really...he was better...or at least the sickness was hiding for a day?). And like I already said, it was nice to actually have the time to take care of Adam and not worry about all the other stuff I had to do for school.
So, even though I didn't go anywhere warm and my plans changed quite a bit I was still able to find the positives in a lackluster Spring Break. I have always found myself to be a pretty positive person but I feel that I need to try even harder during the winter and times when nothing seems to be going right. And now that my early Spring Break has passed, the best is yet to come....SPRING! Can't wait for the warmer weather, sun, gardening and being outside more!
